Exy works because you tell it real things about your life and work. This is what we keep, why we keep it, and how to make us forget it.

In short

  • We use what you share to run Exy for you. Nothing else.
  • We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
  • Exy posts to X only when you ask it to.
  • You can delete your account, and everything Exy remembers, from Settings.

What we collect

Your account. Your name, the name you want Exy to call you, your email address, your time zone, and how you sign in: a one-time email code, Google, or X. If you join the waitlist, we keep the email address you give us.

What you tell Exy. Your messages on the web, iMessage, and Telegram, plus the photos you send or upload, your drafts, the edits you make to them, and your routines.

Connected accounts. Your phone number if you text Exy on iMessage, your Telegram user and chat IDs if you use Telegram, and, once you connect X, your X username, name, profile picture, and permission to read and publish posts on your behalf.

Billing. Your plan, whether your membership is active, and when it renews. Payments are handled by Creem, our payments provider, so we never see or store your card details.

Feedback. The bug reports and ideas you send, with any screenshots you attach. If Exy hits a problem it can't fix, it may send us a short technical report so we can fix it. Those reports never include quotes from your conversations, your memory, or your files.

Basic usage. What we need to run Exy, keep it secure, and keep usage within your membership's limits, such as when you use Exy and how much AI processing and publishing you've used.

How it's used

To talk with you, remember what you've shared, draft posts in your voice, publish or schedule posts when you ask, and run the routines you turn on.

When it helps, Exy searches the public web and X for news, conversations, and posts relevant to you. What it finds is treated as reference, never as your opinion.

We also use your email to sign you in and to tell you about your account, billing, and changes to these policies.

What Exy remembers

Exy keeps a private memory of what you've told it: what you're building, who you want to reach, your stories, and how you like to write. It's shared across your web, iMessage, and Telegram chats, belongs to your account alone, and is never shared with other members.

To correct something, just tell Exy. When you ask it to forget something, it's removed from memory and from earlier versions of that memory, and left out of future replies so it won't be relearned. The original messages stay in your conversation history.

Who sees it

We share data only with the service providers we need to run Exy, such as hosting, sign-in, AI processing, web search, messaging, and payments through Creem. They get only what they need to provide their part of the service and may not use it for anything else.

We don't use your private content to train AI models. If the law requires us to disclose information, we'll tell you first whenever we're allowed to.

Posts you publish to X are public under X's own terms.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. Your conversations, drafts, and memory stay available if your membership ends, so you can pick up where you left off.

Technical records of messages passing through iMessage and Telegram are deleted by a daily run once they're more than 30 days old. Pending or failed deliveries are kept so they can be retried and inspected.

Your choices

Disconnect iMessage, Telegram, or X at any time from Exy's settings. Change your name, email, and time zone in Settings.

To delete your account, go to Settings and choose Delete account. Exy cancels your membership, stops scheduled posts and routines, disconnects your accounts, and deletes your conversations, drafts, photos, routines, memory, and billing records. Remaining copies, such as backups, are gone within 30 days. Creem keeps its own payment records as the law requires.

To request a copy of your personal data, or to ask anything else about it, write to hello@exy.im. We may need to confirm it's you first.

Cookies

Only the ones that keep you signed in. No analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.

Age

Exy is for people 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we'll email you before it takes effect.
