Acceptable use

• Use Exy to write honestly, in your own voice, about your own life and work.
• Exy doesn't write sexually explicit content. No exceptions.
• Don't use Exy to harm, deceive, harass, or spam anyone.
• You're responsible for everything you publish.

Exy may not be used to create sexually explicit or pornographic content. This includes erotic writing, sexual roleplay, sexually suggestive posts, and descriptions of sexual acts, whether you call it fiction, a joke, or for your own account.

We have zero tolerance for any content that sexualizes minors. We'll close the account immediately and report it to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Don't use Exy to create sexual content about real people, intimate content shared without consent, or content that promotes sexual exploitation. The same rules apply to photos and screenshots you send to Exy.

Exy is built to refuse requests for sexually explicit content and the other prohibited uses below, including requests framed as fiction, hypotheticals, or edits to text you wrote yourself. When Exy declines, it tells you and offers to help with something else.

Trying to get around these limits, for example by tricking Exy into ignoring its instructions, is a violation of this policy.

Don't use Exy to write, save, schedule, or publish content that:

• Is sexually explicit, as described above.
• Harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates anyone, or encourages others to.
• Promotes hate or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or similar characteristics.
• Promotes, glorifies, or gives instructions for violence, terrorism, self-harm, or suicide.
• Impersonates a person, brand, or organization, or makes up quotes and attributes them to real people.
• Deceives people: misinformation meant to mislead, fake reviews or testimonials, made-up results, or claims of experiences you haven't had.
• Is spam or manipulates X: bulk or repetitive posting, fake engagement, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or getting around X's rules or enforcement.
• Tries to manipulate elections or other civic processes, including false information about how, when, or where to vote.
• Shares someone's private information without permission, such as addresses, phone numbers, or private messages.
• Promotes scams, phishing, malware, or other fraud.
• Facilitates illegal activity, including the sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or other regulated goods.
• Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• Gives medical, legal, or financial advice presented as coming from a licensed professional when it isn't.

Don't try to access other people's accounts or data, disrupt or overload Exy, scrape it, automate access to it outside the features we provide, or resell it. Don't use Exy to build a competing AI product.

Exy is an independent product built on third-party AI models. It can make mistakes, so check facts, numbers, and quotes before you post. Nothing is published unless you ask Exy to publish it, and you're responsible for what goes out on your X account, including following X's rules and any law that requires you to disclose AI use, sponsorships, or paid promotions.

We may decline to generate content, remove drafts, cancel scheduled posts, or suspend or close your account. For serious or repeated violations, we can act without notice. We report illegal content to the authorities where required.

If you see Exy being used in a way that breaks this policy, or Exy writes something it shouldn't, tell us at hello@exy.im. We read every report.

We may update this policy as Exy changes. We'll email you about material changes before they take effect.
